Ascending Slab Vessel
Stoneware, glaze, underglaze
170L × 150W × 215H mm

The techniques and aesthetics used in this vessel are a continuation of the 2018 series ‘Construct, Disrupt’. Each slab has a scrunched paper-like texture. The textured slabs are cut and layered upon one another, ascending inwards. The exterior has a matte red finish with a white gloss interior glaze.

This object was hand-built in Melbourne and fired at The Kiln Room. Materials were sourced from Walker Ceramics.

Please note: superficial cracks on exterior base—still functional (holds water).
