Tile Vessel (Beige + Gloss Seams)
Stoneware, glaze
210L × 130W × 180H mm

The techniques and aesthetics used in this vessel are a continuation of the 2018 series ‘Construct, Disrupt’. Each slab has a different texture created with rocks or a plaster mould. The textured slabs are cut and layered upon one another, slip oozes from inbetween the slabs to create a seam. The exterior has a beige speckled finish with glazed seams and a white gloss interior glaze.

This object was hand-built in Melbourne and fired at The Kiln Room. Materials were sourced from Walker Ceramics.

Please note: This vessel is NOT watertight - please use as a sculptural object or fill it with some dry flowers!
