The techniques and aesthetics used in this vessel are a continuation of the 2018 series ‘Construct, Disrupt’. Each slab has a different texture created with rocks or a plaster mould. The textured slabs are cut and layered upon one another, slip oozes from inbetween the slabs to create a seam. The exterior has a matte blue finish with glazed deep blue seams and a white gloss interior glaze.
This object was hand-built and fired in Naarm. Materials were sourced from Walker Ceramics.
